She Cries, Craig Hubbard, 2002...

She Cries

She Cries

It's classless from the start
It's underneath the stars of a foreign sky
It's empty and its hallow here w/o you.
So my instincts move my eyes
Her laughter and her smile take me by surprise
The hallways warm and lighted so I enter
And I hear you cry - not my name
I hear you sigh - the mystery remains
But I can't take you home if that's your intention
I can't take you home
You'll never be a part of my memory
I can't take you home if that's your intention
But I often find myself alone
So should I compromise?
Should I?
The interpretation's true
Your motivations make me questions you
I'm stronger and I'm wise beyond my years
Suicidal smile
But I don't know all the things that burden you
You're younger that your years and so I watch you
And I hear you cry - not my name
I hear you sigh - the mystery remains
But I can't take you home if that's your intention
I can't take you home
I can't take the place of a fantasy
I can't take you home if that's your intention
What's your intention?
She cries - I try my best to understand
She cries
