Take Me On By A Ha, Performed By Craig Hubbard

Take On Me, by A-ha.

We’re talking away, I don’t know what
I'm to say I'll say it anyway
Today's another day to find you
Shying away
I'll be coming for your love, okay?

Take on me.
Take me on.
I’ll be gone.
In a day or two.

So needless to say
I'm odds and ends
I'll be stumbling away
Slowly learning that life is OK
Say after me
It's no better to be safe than sorry

Take on me.
Take me on.
I’ll be gone.
In a day or two.

Oh the things that you say
Is it live or
Just to play my worries away
You're all the things
I've got to remember
You're shying away
I'll be coming for you anyway

Take on me.
Take me on.
I’ll be gone.
In a day or two
In a day or two
In a day or two

A Little Bit Louder, Written And Performed By Craig Hubbard

A Little Bit Louder
I’m all alone in this haunted house.
Buckets of rain keep falling down. .
I swear I saw your face in the light.
But baby there ain’t nothing here but ghosts tonight.
 Telephone ain’t ringing.
 The birds they ain’t singing.
But I think I’ve made up my mind.
 It’s time. It’s time.
Turn it on, turn it up,
turn the radio on, a little bit louder.
Not another night in this old house alone,
chip on my shoulder.
Gonna tear it up,drink you off my mind.
See, I told ya. Turn it on, turn it up,
turn the radio on, a little bit louder.
I know you ain’t the one who let us down
It’s been building up for some time.
I’m not the best at keeping score.
But babe it’s you who walked out that door.

You Kill Me, Written And Performed By David Hubbard

You Kill Me – by David Hubbard, ©2016
I know I never tell you that I love you
But I am always thinking of you
You are a bright, bright light
In my deep dark night
I could never place another girl above you

Sometimes you kill me with your pretty smile
I often think for you I’d walk a hundred miles
And I know that rarely ever of me
But I’ve always been way too blind to see

You usually drink a milkshake in the morning
Occasionally, you’re angry without warning
You own a big, big part
Of my aching heart
This just isn’t the state that I was born in

Sometimes you kill me with your pretty laugh
I often think your glance could break my heart in half
And I know you hardly ever think of me
But I’ve always been way too blind to see

My friends tell me I’m losing my mind
I’ve got a box; it’s filled with tears all the time
I just tell them it isn’t so bad
I always say you are the best thing I’ve never had
It’s just got to get better than this
I’m missing out, and more than that, I’m missing your kiss
You kill me, Baby, you’re killing me

I never look at you without revealing
The sum of the emotions that I’m feeling
And though I try and try
I just don’t know why
You always walk away and leave me reeling

Sometimes you kill me with the things you say
I often dream you’ll fall in love with me some day
But I know you never ever think of me
And it’s bringing me down, yeah
It’s bringing me down
‘Cause I’ve always been way too blind to see

David Does Bob McDill's "If You Think I'm Crazy Now (You Should Have Seen Me When I Was A Kid)"

"If You Think I'm Crazy Now (You Should Have Seen Me When I Was A Kid)"

I been wired since I can't remember when
You seen me out, most every night with a dissipated grin
All my life I been labeled loob and lout
But now I think, I'm finally wearin' down

I may rock and and may roll, I may sleep out in the cold
But I can still stay up the six days in the row
But I know the things I do don't compare with the things I did
If you think I'm crazy now, should've seen me when I was a kid

I been wild yeah, I been wasted stoned and stooped
Stayed out nights and started fights and mowed out two bar stools
All these years but it's been bedrooms bars and beers
But now, I'm in this finally drawnin' near.

Well, I may rock and and may roll, I may sleep out in the cold
But I can still stay up the six days in the row
But I know the things I do don't compare with the things I did
If you think I'm crazy now, should've seen me when I was a kid

If you think I'm crazy now, should've seen me when I was a kid

Kris Kristofferson's The Pilgrim, Chapter 33 By Gerry Hubbard

See him wasted on the sidewalk in his jacket and his jeans,
Wearin' yesterday's misfortunes like a smile
Once he had a future full of money, love, and dreams,
Which he spent like they was goin' outta style
And he keeps right on a'changin' for the better or the worse,
Searchin' for a shrine he's never found
Never knowin' if believin' is a blessin' or a curse,
Or if the goin' up was worth the comin' down
He's a poet, he's a picker
He's a prophet, he's a pusher
He's a pilgrim and a preacher, and a problem when he's stoned
He's a walkin' contradiction, partly truth and partly fiction,
Takin' ev'ry wrong direction on his lonely way back home.

He has tasted good and evil in your bedrooms and your bars,
And he's traded in tomorrow for today
Runnin' from his devils, lord, and reachin' for the stars,
And losin' all he's loved along the way
But if this world keeps right on turnin' for the better or the worse,
And all he ever gets is older and around
>from the rockin' of the cradle to the rollin' of the hearse,
The goin' up was worth the comin' down
He's a poet, he's a picker
He's a prophet, he's a pusher
He's a pilgrim and a preacher, and a problem when he's stoned
He's a walkin' contradiction, partly truth and partly fiction,
Takin' ev'ry wrong direction on his lonely way back home.
There's a lotta wrong directions on that lonely way back home.

David Does "I Can See Clearly Now" (The Rain Is Gone) by Johnny Nash

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.
I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I've been prayin' for
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.
Look all around, there's nothin' but blue skies
Look straight ahead, nothin' but blue skies
I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day

Craig Hubbard Does Queen's Crazy Little Thing Called Love

This thing called love,
I just can't handle it
This thing called love,
I must get round to it
I ain't ready
Crazy little thing called love
This thing Called love
It cries In a cradle all night
It swings. It jives
It shakes all over like a jelly fish
I kinda like it
Crazy little thing called love

There goes my baby
She knows how to rock 'n' roll
She drives me crazy
She gives me hot and cold fever
Then she leaves me in a cool cool sweat
I gotta be cool, relax, get hip
And get on my track's
Take a back seat, hitch-hike
And take a long ride on my motorbike
Until I'm ready
Crazy little thing called love

  Haunted House - Ryan Adams

Welcome to my haunted house
I live here alone, ain't no one else
It's the last house at the end of the block
My friends all disappear one by one

The cracks in the windows and the spiders, they crawl
Across the lattice from 1924
Life is too sweet, yeah, and life is too short
And there's nowhere to fall

I don't want to live in this haunted house anymore
I don't want to live in this haunted house anymore

There's a painting on the wall
I see its eyes watching me as I walk on down the hall
Nobody stops to write, nobody calls
My friends all disappear
They all got lost

The cracks in the windows and the spiders, they crawl
Across the lattice from 1924
Life is too sweet, man, and life is too short
And there's nowhere to fall

I don't want to live in this haunted house anymore
I don't want to live in this haunted house anymore

"Shoes Had Laces", written by Matt Clark, Performed By David Hubbard

PopPop writes a blog about things he's seen and done
How things have changed since olden days when he was very young.
We didn't have a wii said he but we still had some fun
Yes, things were very different when my PopPop was young.

Shoes had laces, clocks had hands and faces You didn't take your phone when you went to different places The phone was attached to the wall and it didn't do anything but call

Things were different when my Dad was a kid, at least that's what he said.
The phone numbers for all his friends were kept up in his head
They used a giant paper map instead of being led
By a gps but I guess they just stayed home instead.

Shoes had laces, clocks had hands and faces
You didn't take your phone when you went to different places
The phone was attached to the wall and it didn't do anything but call

Shoes had laces, clocks had hands and faces
You didn't take your phone when you went to different places
The phone was attached to the wall and it didn't do anything but call

"I'm Coming Home", Robert Earle Keen, By David Hubbard

Packed my suitcase and I racked my brain
Bought a ticket on a late night train
Took a taxi through the pourin' rain
I'm comin' home to you
Flew from Boston out to San Jose
Sae our old friends in Monterrey Bay
When they asked me if I'd like to stay
I said I'm comin' home to you
I'm comin' home
Made up my mind that's what I'm gonna do
Can't love nobody on the telephone
I'm comin' home to you
They threw a party there from dusk 'till dawn
Seems like everybody knows old sleepy John
He said next time I better bring you along
I'm comin' home to you
They had fresh caught salmon on the bareques
There were people jammin' all night to the blues
Life is good out in Santa Cruz but
I'm comin' home to you
I drove forever out to God knows where
Come ten-thirty there was no one there
They couldn't pay me but I didn't care
I'm comin' home to you
I'm feelin' better since I got your card
I read it over and over when the road gets hard
Ain't nothin' better than your own backyard
I'm comin' home to you
I'm comin' home
Made up my mind that's what I'm gonna do
Can't love nobody on the telephone
I'm comin' home to you
I'm comin' home
Made up my mind that's what I'm gonna do
Can't love nobody on the telephone
I'm comin' home to you
Packed my suitcase and I racked my brain
Bought a ticket on the late night train
Took a taxi in the pourin' rain

Maybe Tomorrow, Written & Performed By Craig Hubbard

Maybe Tomorrow
I could go to Dayton I guess.
It’s good to know my options are open
Maybe I’ve been wasting my time.
Feel the same as when it was snowing.

Well I know it doesn't matter where we runt to.
You don’t find freedom from running.
But I don’t think I’ve smiled in two days.
If I did I did it unknowing.

I don’t want to lie to you.  I don’t want to cry for you.
I just want to hold you.
And I won’t upset you, baby, I won’t obsess you, honey.
I just want to know you. .

I drove to Memphis once.
A thousand miles passing below me.
I watched the sun go down with my friends.
That weekend no body owed me.

The blues were like magic honey.
Dripping from electric guitars.
Well now that’s what’s inside me, sweetheart.
One can’t be a threat when he’s just drowning in bars.

I don’t want to lie to you.  I don’t want to cry for you.
I just want to hold you.
And I won’t upset you, baby, I won’t obsess you, honey.
I just want to know you. .

And I guess I’ll suffer for you.  I pay my penance.
Because my sentence is due.
I know that isn’t your choice.
I always do this, but it’ll be over quick.

Because.  Maybe I’ll take action.
Maybe I’ll take action tomorrow.
Because, because.  Maybe I’ll take action.
Maybe I’ll take action tomorrow.
Maybe I’ll take action, baby
Maybe I’ll take action, honey.  Tomorrow.
Tomorrow. Tomorrow.
Tomorrow. Tomorrow.
I’ll come by tomorrow.
If I get the nerve.
